very late to the episode (rewatching it for like the fifth time) but i feel like amradrillo being so mechanical gives the vibes that the actual alien before the cybernetic enchancements (because modifying your species to be mainly robotic is definitely a good idea and wont backfire at all) was a tiny and "defenseless" armadillo like alien, who tunneled a lot and as they built their bodies to be more offensive they also started to outfit their body to dig more. this would also mean that theres a potential for different armadrillo like aliens from the same species specializing in different thngs just like my headcannon of the actual species

I honestly prefer the premise, that ben can have complete control of timeout, retransformation, and telepathy to the omnitrix, it makes the "completed" omnitrix something that's actually a nice setup from the fully functioning prototype recalibrated omnitrix, what should have been done is simply write it like s1,2 alien force
